Short answer: for 14 days after you activate it, anything the Item Shop sells for V-Bucks is free to claim. Real-money offers, gifts, Battle Pass levels and rewards, and extra Sidekicks are not.

Quick answers

Question Answer
Does the token give me V-Bucks? No. Nothing is added to your wallet. Items sold for V-Bucks cost nothing to claim while it is active, and your V-Bucks balance is not touched.
Do I keep what I claim after the 14 days? Yes, according to the first player to find a token (as reported by Dexerto) and Games.gg. The 14 days limit when you can claim, not how long you own the items. Epic has not said this itself.
Can I gift items with it? No. Vice, Beebom and Dexerto all say gifting is excluded.
Does it cover real-money packs? No. Only items priced in V-Bucks.
Can I give the token to a friend? No. It can't be transferred to another account. Friends in your party when it drops get their own.

Can and can't claim

Item Free with the token?
Outfits, emotes, pickaxes, back blings, gliders, wraps, kicks, Jam Tracks Yes, if sold for V-Bucks
Bundles sold for V-Bucks Likely: covered by "anything sold for V-Bucks", not confirmed separately
Collab items in the shop (for example One Piece) Yes, if sold for V-Bucks
Real-money offers and packs No
Gifts to other players No
Battle Pass levels No
Battle Pass rewards No
Sidekicks One only, and only one you don't already own (Epic's wording; see below)
Transferring the token to another account No

Vice says the token covers all Item Shop cosmetics during an active period; TheGamer describes it as "anything sold for V-Bucks". Both list the same exclusions. Games.gg also names kicks and Jam Tracks.

What today's shop is worth

The Item Shop changes every day, so the value of an activation depends on what is in the shop during your 14 days. This is what you could claim if your token were active today, updated at every reset (00:00 UTC):

If you activated today

Today's shop is worth 211,500 V-Bucks

302 items sold on their own, 61 of them new today. With an active token, the ones sold for V-Bucks are free.

  • Rambo Bundle
  • Oatleys Locker Bundle
  • Ace Academic
  • Culture Club Commander
  • Fatecarved Warrior Bundle
  • John Rambo

Our verdict
Rambo is new today, and the Aliens items leave tonight at reset. The ten school outfits added today are only here until tomorrow's reset.

When to activate

You get one activation in 2026 and one in 2027, and each lasts 14 days. To get the most from each:

  1. Don't activate the moment you find it. The timer only starts when you select Activate Now. TheGamer and Island Dispatch both advise waiting.
  2. Activate before a release you want. Collab drops and new outfits are worth more than a quiet week. As of November 3, 2026, TimeSaver suggests activating around November 5, 7 PM ET, which covers every dated drop through November 14 (see the table below).
  3. Pick your Sidekick first. If you want the Chopper Sidekick, don't claim another Sidekick before it arrives on November 7.
  4. Check the shop every day while it runs. The shop refreshes at 00:00 UTC (7 PM ET). Anything you don't claim during your 14 days is not covered later.
  5. Don't miss December 15, 2026, 7 PM ET. That is 00:00 UTC on December 16. If you haven't activated your 2026 token by then, that activation is gone.
Date Item Shop drop
November 1 Luffy, Nami and Usopp
November 5, 7 PM ET A$AP Rocky
November 7 Zoro, Sanji and the Chopper Sidekick
November 12 Lil Uzi Vert
November 13 Buggy
November 14 Kasane Teto and Cap'n Hatsune Miku
December 5, 23:59 UTC One Piece Bundle leaves the shop, per the Item Shop listing (TimeSaver says December 3, Beebom December 4)

Dates are from TimeSaver's list of Epic's announced drops, except the bundle's end date, which comes from the Item Shop listing. If you find a token after mid-November, TimeSaver points to around December 5, the day of Epic's Chapter 7 end event; the One Piece Bundle is listed until 23:59 UTC that day.
