The Fortnite Shop Token (Pirate Shop Access) makes Item Shop items free for 14 days. How to get it, when it ends and how to beat the December 15 deadline.

Short answer: the Shop Token, also called Pirate Shop Access, is a rare Treasure Hunters reward. It lets you claim eligible Item Shop cosmetics without spending V-Bucks for 14 days.

When Does the Pirate Shop Token End?
"End" can mean three different dates, so here is each one:

What Is the Pirate Shop Token?
The Pirate Shop Token is one-off access to the "Pirate Shop": a version of the Item Shop where items normally sold for V-Bucks cost nothing. Players also call it the Fortnite Shop Token, the free Item Shop token or Pirate Shop Access. It arrived with the Treasure Hunters mini-season on November 1, 2026.
As of November 4, 2026, GameSpot frames that free access as Fortnite trying to keep players around ahead of GTA 6. The article does not publish a drop rate.
Finding it starts no timer: the 14 days begin only when you activate it.
How to Get Pirate Shop Access
The token is a random chest reward during the Treasure Hunters mini-season. There is no fixed location and no way to buy it.
- Play Battle Royale and open chests on Crossbones Isle. As of November 4, 2026, there is no clear evidence of a Ranked or skill-based block.
- If the token drops, you see it in your post-match rewards and in the Item Shop.
How rare is it? Very. Epic has not published a rate, and HYPEX's November 4 FAQ says the client has none and that online percentages are not real. The 1 in 700,000 line is an unsourced rumor. Egyptian_Leaker says it is inaccurate, the odds are server-side, the token may be more common than that, and it is still very rare. Sources are on the odds page.

How to Activate the Shop Token
- Go back to the lobby.
- Open the Item Shop.
- Select Plunder the Item Shop, on the bottom edge of the Item Shop. Most guides we checked (Beebom, TimeSaver, TechWiser) place it at the bottom right; one guide places it at the bottom left, so check both corners.
- Select Activate Now. Your 14 days start immediately.
While it is active, claim items from the Item Shop as usual. They cost nothing.

When to Activate
Each activation only covers what appears in the shop during your 14 days. The Item Shop changes every day at 00:00 UTC (7 PM ET), so activate when big releases you want are coming and you can check the shop each day.
As of November 3, 2026, TimeSaver suggests activating around November 5, 7 PM ET (00:00 UTC on November 6), when A$AP Rocky arrives. As of November 4, HYPEX's FAQ calls A$AP Rocky this week's companion skin and Lil Uzi Vert next week's. That rotation is a community schedule, not an Epic post. Fourteen days from November 5 covers every Item Shop drop with a published date so far:

If you want Chopper, don't claim another Sidekick before November 7: Epic's reward text says you can claim only one free Sidekick.

Our verdict
KPop Demon Hunters and The Mandalorian are new today, and Predator, Mariah Carey and the Day of the Dead outfits leave tonight at reset. Holding a Pirate Shop Token? Unless you want something leaving tonight, wait for A$AP Rocky tomorrow: both new sets are still here after he arrives.

What You Can and Can't Claim
Can: anything the Item Shop sells for V-Bucks, such as outfits, emotes, pickaxes, back blings, wraps, kicks and Jam Tracks. Can't: real-money offers, gifts, Battle Pass levels and rewards, or more than one Sidekick. The token can't be moved to another account. Does Your Squad Get It Too?
Yes. Vice and Beebom report that when one party member's chest drops the token, everyone in the party gets it, with both activations (TheGamer). Players matched through fill are not your party.
Solo, Duos or Squads? If you are hunting the token, play Squads with friends in your party. One find then covers up to four accounts, and four players can open about four times as many chests per match. This is what news reports describe, not a promise from Epic, and it does not apply to players matched through fill.

Is the Fortnite Shop Token real? Yes. It is a Treasure Hunters reward, and players have shared videos of the Pirate Shop.
Can I get it in Ranked? As of November 4, 2026, HYPEX's FAQ says there is no obvious skill-based gate, including Ranked. Beebom had said it does not drop there. Epic has not published a mode list. See Shop Token not working.
When does the Pirate Shop Token leave Fortnite? Epic has not announced when the token stops dropping. It belongs to the Treasure Hunters mini-season, which has no announced end date; the Chapter 7 end event is on December 5, 2026. If you already have one, activate it by December 15, 2026, 7 PM ET. Once activated, it lasts 14 days.
Does the 14-day timer start when I find it? No. It starts when you select Activate Now.
What time is the December 15 deadline? 7 PM ET, which is 00:00 UTC on December 16. Your Item Shop shows it in your local time.
What if I miss December 15, 2026? You lose the 2026 activation. The 2027 activation is still there.
Does the token give me V-Bucks? No. Nothing is added to your wallet; items sold for V-Bucks simply cost nothing to claim while it is active.
Do I keep the items after the 14 days? Yes, according to the first player to find a token (as reported by Dexerto) and Games.gg. The 14 days limit when you can claim, not how long you own what you claimed. Epic has not said this itself.
Can I gift items with it? No. Gifts, real-money offers and Battle Pass levels are excluded.
